Our help desk was hit with an issue where List Items displayed in a ListView webpart were redirecting the user back to the site's default.aspx page.  After a little study it appears the page/site is probably coming from a Site Template. 

 

With a little more research I found this KB article.

 

Luckly there is a HotFix for this as well

 

However, it appears that this hot fix does not fix the problem if the list being displayed is a Discussion Board.  Here is a blog with a solution and a Hack if you ever see this issue.

 

I have not yet tested this hack myself, but other appear to have used it successfully.  I will update THIS PAGE if the hack does work for us as well.
